Scientific-technical journal "Transport and storage of oil products and hydrocarbon materials" adheres to the following standards of publication ethics.

The Editorial Board

The editorial Board of the journal "Transport and storage of oil products and hydrocarbons" has:

To inform the authors about the receipt of submitted manuscripts within three working days of its receipt and to provide a qualified review of the manuscript.

To show respect for the opinion of the authors and the results of their research.

To ensure confidentiality of the reviewing process.

Timely and accurately inform the authors about reviewer's suggestions and comments and work together to determine the timing of any change in this article in accordance with the received review.

To make a final decision on acceptance of submitted manuscript or refusal of its publication.

In case of refusal to publish the submitted materials to give a reasoned explanation of its decision and recommendations to authors taking into account the specifics of topics raised.

Authors

The main goal of any scientific publication is to acquaint scientific community and oil and gas professionals with the results of the research of the authors. Each scientific and technical article represents the analysis and synthesis of the results of achievements in a certain sphere, so the authors need to understand what responsibility for the content of their work they take to the readers, and not to violate anyone's copyright.

Providing the results of their work for publication, authors must adhere to the following provisions.

To ensure that the manuscript submitted for publication is in only one journal. The provision of the same manuscript under consideration in the journal "Transport and storage of oil products and hydrocarbons" in two or more journals is unacceptable.
To avoid self-plagiarism. Authors should indicate that their work is published for the first time. If the elements of the manuscript were used in another article, including in the journal "Transport and storage of oil products and hydrocarbon materials", authors should refer to previously published work. At this they should indicate the significant difference from the previous one and to identify its relationship with the results of the research and findings presented in the previous work.

To ensure complete and accurate citation of scientific papers used in the process of conducting research and writing the article.
To specify the data source and duplicate it in the list of references (in this case taken verbatim text must be enclosed in quotation marks) or to express thanks to the author of the elements used in the article.

Before an article will be submitted to the editor for consideration, authors must obtain permission to use any used material created by other persons.

To participate in the process of preparing the article for publication in a timely manner and correctly respond to requests and comments of the reviewer and editor, to provide the necessary information.

The authors who submitted their work to be printed in the journal, confirm that their publication does not violate any existing copyright, and the publisher guarantees the reimbursement of losses in case of such violations. For ease of dissemination and implementation of policy on the use of materials, the authors convey to the publisher the following rights to use the manuscript, unless otherwise specified: import, playback, processing, including translation into the languages of the peoples of the world, disseminating, making available to the public.

Reviewers

The review process is to assess novelty and validity of material presentation, as well as to check the adherence of the author to the standards of specific field of work or science in general and the provision of editorial by information for decision-making on publication. The review should also instruct the authors to improve the article for publication. The negative review must, to the maximum extent indicate to the authors the weaknesses of the manuscript, so that authors understand what the basis of the decision of the reviewer and what you need to do to improve the quality of the material.
The editorial Board reads all submitted manuscripts. For peer review only those articles are sent that match the format of the journal and meet the requirements for the presentation of the material.

Accepting to review a manuscript, the reviewer shall:

- review the manuscript in a confidential manner. If the reviewer needs to consult outside expert, the reviewer shall notify the editor;

- notify the editor in case if the reviewer believes himself to be insufficiently qualified to review an article or can't write a review within the allotted time;

be fair, the reviewer should not accept reviewing the manuscript if the author or co-author is the person with whom the reviewer is in close professional, or other relationships;

- inform the editor about conflict of interest with the author or co-author of an article and refuse from reviewing of the manuscript;

- fully and reasonably explain their judgment on the manuscript;

- inform the editor of any similarity between a submitted article and previously published content in any other source;

- as part of awareness inform the editor that the manuscript contains falsified data, plagiarism or borrowed materials.

Editors decide on the publication of the material, based on the evaluation of the reviewer.

Basic Principles of Publication Ethics

The editors are always ready to give necessary explanations on their decision.

In cases of detected plagiarism, cheating and other misconduct in publishing scientific and technical materials, the editors may impose the following sanctions on the authors:

- to refuse to publish a submitted manuscript;

- to impose a ban on the publication in the journal for a certain period.

Right to make a decision on the application of sanctions in each individual case belongs to the editors.

The editorial Board is also entitled to notify the editors of journals with related subjects about breaches of ethical rules and regulations, and to provide the names of the authors who violated them.

All correspondence concerning cases of violations of ethical standards are kept for 3 years.
